			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The BNP member list <a href="http://wikileaks.org">leak</a> is, not surprisingly, fairly controversial. Not least for the guy on the database who placed a “request for absolute confidentiality”. But strip away the the basic personal data and the political revelations, and concentrate instead only on the “Interesting Notes” column, and what you get is a perfect snapshot of modern Britain, possibly the only place odd enough to have Buddhist BNP members.</p>
<ul>
<li>Has two suits of medieval 14th &amp; 15th century armour and can joust for rallies</li>
<li>Dentist. Shop owner. Linguist.</li>
<li>Hobbies: economics: letter writing to local/national papers.</li>
<li>Semi-professional multi musician (traditional/British folk). Pagan. Classic motorcycle enthusiast. Huntsman</li>

<li>Hobbies: walking, Tai Chi Chuan. Buddhist, interested in Daoism</li>
<li>Mobile DJ with singing partner, snakes &amp; spiders</li>
<li>Model and promotions girl</li>
<li>Qualified firefighter, farrier, equine dentist.</li>
<li>Certs in skin/nail care. Hobbies: sewing crafts, knitting, animal welfare, military history</li>
<li>Hobbies: criminal justice system, bowls</li>

<p>Looking further, at the “reasons for not renewing membership” notes, you get the following gems. I’m not sure what the specific reports or revelations were, but I hope the people concerned weren’t too upset when they discovered that the party were, you know, a bit racist:</p>

<li>objects to being told he shouldn’t wear a bomber jacket</li>
<li>embarrassed by revelations in Private Eye re. councillors</li>
<li>took exception to being asked to contact another similarly aged lady member!</li>
